Yemaya, Research and Consultancy for Development, is a consultancy firm directed by Jacobijn Olthoff. 

Yemaya aims at empowering adults and children so that they can work towards fulfilling their rights. This means strengthening people’s capacity to improve their own lives. It also means making sure that they gain the skills necessary for claiming the fulfillment of their rights by others. Finally, Yemaya aims to help all kinds of organisations in developing and improving programmes that contribute to the processes described above.

Jacobijn Olthoff  started her consultancy activities in 2006 after about ten years of professional experience, both in the academic world and in the field of development cooperation.
